I've had several requests for an update list so I'm posting it below.

I cannot begin to thank all of you who have given so much towards this effort! There are so many wonderful Americans out there who keep giving and giving. It is refreshing and motivating to have the privilege to work with all of you.

Help Us Send Support to the 6-4 Cavalry, 3rd Brigade, 1st ID Deployed to Northeastern Afghanistan

Most of you who are reading this will remember how hundreds of great Americans came together last year to send support to the 173rd, 2-503 when they were deployed from their home base in Vicenza, Italy to the northeastern province of Kunar, Afghanistan. Together you all helped to send over 14 tons of winter gear, snacks, letters and other items to the Sky Soldiers.

Well...we need your help again. The 6-4 Cavalry out of Fort Hood, TX is in the same region but a little further north. They are in northern Kunar Province and in Nuristan Province. Winter is rapidly approaching. They already have snow on the high peaks and the night time temps have dropped below freezing.

Following is a "wish list" of items we need to send over there. Some items need to be sent ASAP. If you can help please email me at tankerbabelc@gmail.com. It's not about huge donations so much. It's about ANY donation. Together they all add up - as we saw with the amazing support for the 173rd, 2-503. We can do this!

I've had the opportunity to talk with several of the 2-503 Soldiers who have all stated that y'all were "spot on" with the items sent last year. Based on their reports back to us now that they are home we have developed a list of the most needed and appreciated winter gear items as shown in the table below.
