Sgt Matt Maupin, A True American Hero, Is Finally Coming Home to His Family
I was very saddened to hear that Sgt Maupin's remains had been found and identified. Matt's family has been vigilent for almost four years waiting to hear about his where abouts. Matt was captured on April 9, 2004 near the Baghdad International airport when his fuel convoy was ambushed.
Today the Army notified them that, through DNA testing, Matt has been found. My prayers and those of so many around this nation remain with his family. May he rest in peace and may his family know that our support continues with them.
