Rest In Peace CPT Rob Yllescas
It is with a very heavy heart that I direct you to CPT Yllescas' Family Blog where his wife, Dena, posts that Rob went home to God early Monday morning.
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends, all of the Soldiers still in Afghanistan and your entire military family at Fort Hood and around the nation who are sad beyond words at your passing.
Rest Peacefully Brave Warrior. You will be sorely missed.

May Rob rest peacefully in Heaven. He was a wonderful leader of his men. May God be with his men who are still in Afghanistan, too.
And may his wife, children and the rest of his family be touched with God's grace and the love of others as they go through this difficult time.

It is certainly a sad day when any of our heroes dies. Men and women who deserve to be honored by this nation and not just by their families, friends and local communities. Families who deserve our support and rarely get it.
I only met CPT Yllescas once but he made such a positive impression on me. From all accounts by those who do know him and have served with him he was one in a million.
I'm not sure what you mean by wanting to scream about the injustice of it all.
Amazing that you actually met Captain Yllescas.
