Introduction

I never wanted a blog.  Who'd want to know what I have to say, what I'm doing, if I'm having a good day or a bad one?  I'm not sure how long we'll share this.  I do know that my focus for now will be on our deployed military and supporting them.  We'll talk about other things, too, but that will be my focus.

I've never been good with names.  I grew up on a farm.  I couldn't even name a pet.  I'd agonize for days and weeks before one of my brothers would finally just tell me the name of my new pet.  When I was trying to figure out a name for the blog I went through a myriad of names.  I've settle on "From Cow Pastures to Kosovo" for now.  That could change once my family and friends see it and tell me it's stupid or something.  Cow Pastures comes from being on the farm.  Kosovo - well, that's a REALLY long story we'll probably explore over time.  I love Kosovo.  I look forward to every trip there and cherish all of the time I spend there.

I want to be perfectly clear - I believe in freedom of speech.  I will not, however, entertain or allow the publishing of any comments that I feel are negative towards or about our military personnel, their missions or their families.  For those who may think that means I'm not truly FOR freedom of speech you are just wrong.  There are plenty of places you can go to make negative comments about our military.  I won't tolerate them here.  If I met you I might decide I didn't want to become friends with you.  That wouldn't mean I didn't like you - just that I felt we didn't share enough in common for me to spend a lot of time with you.  That's the way I feel about any negative comments about the military or that would cause a negative feeling by any military personnel or family member who might read it.  Take it somewhere else.

No profanity.  'Nuf said about that.

I am passionate about and totally committed to providing support to our military deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq.  I hope that many of the posts I will share with you here will inspire you to do the same if you aren't already.
