Semper Fi! This is absolutely a wonderful message from this Marine. Great news indeed. Please tell him thank you for me when you reply to his email, or rather next time you reply to his email. I praise God for all of these men and women and also for the Iraqi forces that are kicking insurgent murderers butt too.

Good news indeed! It will get out one way or another and this is showing the shame that is upon main stream news for their devious motives in their reporting. They are a joke now, nothing worth our time or attention.

I wanted to let you know I cross posted this through Vox link.

ditto what humbled said! I read a local story about a group of deployed soldiers from Cheboygan, Michigan who recently helped bring an Iraqi boy back over here to get a needed surgery at a Grand Rapids Children's hospital. Don't hear that in major media either do you?
Great update. It is true we don't know the half of what is going on in Iraq. I think once I saw a story about troops rebuilding a school. Every other story is about how the outlook is bleak and grin. I always knew deep down that was Bull and we were doing just fine. Thank you for your service!

Kelly I did hear about one Iraqi child that came to the states for a much needed surgery, which all went great and on his return to Iraq that very Iraqi family praised our troops and the United States. But of course I didn't hear anything about that in any news, tv or print. BUT, I did read it here on Vox one of our troops blogs. They are who put the news out for us.

They do a 3-fold job. Fight the bad guys, win hearts and minds and report the truth for us. They are great men and women indeed.

There have been many stories like this that have either not been reported or only so at a cursery level. I can remember ones from Boston, Nashville, LA, and others where I don't remember the states. Sadly I don't remember the units or the men involved. Shame on me.

One particular story was about a medic who noticed a young girl while they were on patrol. He saw she wasn't well so he stopped to evaluate her. He and his unit returned time and again to check on the little girl while attempting to get her to the US for treatment. Sadly he was killed before that happened. Yet his men continued the quest in his honor and memory and were successful in getting the little girl here for treatment of her heart condition.

Yes a real shame that our nation doesn't want to know about how truly caring, human and honorable our military personnel are.
