A Big HOOOORAH to Starbucks in Memphis, TN

Comments

Yes! I was actually in a Memphis area starbucks a couple of weeks ago while I was there for work and the worker there asked if I wanted to donate a bag! I did! Very cool idea from Starbucks. I don't know if the Chicago ones are doing it but I am going to ask next time I go!

Actually I doubt the ones in Chicago are Janee. This seems to have been something (per the store manager at "my" Starbucks) that was done only here in Memphis. HOWEVER...it was such a success the corporation IS considering it as an annual event nation wide. Each store will get to decide if they want to participate so I daresay there will be parts of the country where it'll NEVER happen - sadly.

GOOD FOR YOU for making that contribution. Some Soldier will thank you tremendously as he/she enjoys that wonderful brew.

Blackhawks and Starbucks cofee...that's like..that's like.. well the thought's almost illegal!

How much do you think we could raise at a charity auction if we had: Troops delivering someone their morning Starbucks coffee via a Blackhawk for one week? I might take out a second mortgage for that!! LOL!

Golly Donna. What a GREAT idea for a fund raiser. Why do I think you and I would spend more than every dime we have THEN mud wrestle to determine the winner? LOL

Blackhawks and Starbucks - I think that needs to be on a t-shrt.

Hmmmm, wonder if the Blackhawks that came to pick up the coffee were the ones you saw while walking on the beach? Hope not - that would give you a leg up on this competition. BUWAHAHAHAHAHAHA

To hell with the coffee - I just want a ride in the chopper!

These replies are cracking me up. Blackhawks and Starbucks. What a cool idea. That is really awesome about the local Starbucks. You'll have to PM me with the location you go to. It's that time of the year when I start going to Starbucks once or twice a week.

:)

The hell with coffee and the chopper ride, I'm in for the mud wrestling.
Ya know CB - this COULD be a potential fund raiser. LOL

What's even more inspiring is the thought of how a US Soldier must feel in

a remote place like the mountains of afghanistan,to open a package and

see the ''Starbucks'' label, and know He's just a pot of hot water away

from some good old American joe.I have a picture of Michelle Malkin in

my computer that I took during Her newsclip at GOE I,I'll see if I can't make a

few copies and send 'em along with My care package,as well as Maybe

some Florida postcards featuring babes on the beach, bet they'll love that.

Dan

No one wants to see me mud wrestle. I ain't got the legs for it.
I have friends who work in Starbucks in California and Texas and they say that their Starbucks constantly donates coffee to the troops. I'm not talking a bag here and there, I'm talking hundreds of pounds. Anyone saying that Starbucks, as much as I think they're are overpriced but have the best Green Tea Latte in town, is unpatriotic or unsupportive of the troops is just plain wrong.
